Our segment strategy is based on holding excellent market positions in attractive niches in currently four appealing sectors.
In the flexible films segment, we are the market leader for fabric-reinforced pool liners. We develop, produce and sell flexible films and composite materials for various attractive niche markets and application areas. Our product portfolio includes a wide range of system solutions for technical waterproofing, high-end projection screens, event flooring, outdoor laminates and high-quality, design-oriented membranes for pool construction. The segment made up 29.2% of total revenue in 2023.

In the engineered products segment, we develop, produce and sell technical textiles. Our yarns and fabrics are used in a variety of applications, including power transmission belts in the automotive and agricultural sectors, air suspension in road and rail transport and textiles for flat roof membranes in the construction sector. In addition, our technical textiles are used, for example, as reinforcing supports in rubber products such as conveyor belts and brake diaphragms, or as carrier materials for coated end products. Our solutions are a key element for the characteristic performance required in our customers’ specific application areas. The segment made up 34.6% of total revenue in 2023.

The surface technologies segment offers a wide range of surface processes for metallic materials such as aluminium, magnesium, die-casting and steel. We use technical and chemical processes to help protect our customers’ products against corrosion and wear. Our services are used in a wide range of sectors, including furniture, food, mechanical engineering, electronics and automotive. We are proud of our ability to offer our customers premium surface finishing solutions that make their products more durable. The segment made up 20.4% of total revenue in 2023.
